Meditation

Mediation is a practice where people focus on their inner selves. It employs a strategy to develop attention and awareness to produce a cognitively clear, emotionally peaceful, and stable condition, such as mindfulness or focusing the mind on a certain object, thought, or activity.

“Be simple, natural and wise. In meditation, you can expand your consciousness.” - Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Meditation is being practiced all over the world. Mindfulness meditation can help reduce effects associated with chronic pain, such as depression or decreased quality of life. In general, it involves being open, conscious, and accepting while also being aware of and participating in the current moment.

Concentrative Meditation involves focusing your mind on one thing while tuning out everything else. To achieve a higher level of being, the objective is to truly experience whatever you are concentrating on, whether it be your breath, a particular word, or a mantra.

Meditation helps one to be more aware, increases their concentration, helps in stress management, anxiety reduction, improves ones immunity, sense of calm, inner peace and especially general vision on life.

Meditation is considered as one of the best ways to treat mental health issues. One should atleast spend 10mins meditating daily. It gives relaxation. One should slowly start meditating and focus on their inner selves and what you’re feeling.

Meditation was practiced as religious traditions by many in early times especially by Buddhism. As more individuals become aware of its many health advantages, meditation is becoming more and more popular.

“Meditation helps to change your perspective. It improves the way you perceive things. It improves your interaction with people around you –what you say, how you react and act in different situations; you become more aware.” - Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
