The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust initiated the first phase of the Ram Temple's construction in March 2020. On 25 March 2020, the idol of Ram was relocated to a temporary site, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in attendance. Larsen & Toubro has generously offered to manage the design and construction of the temple at no cost and serves as the project's contractor. Various institutions, including the Central Building Research Institute, the National Geophysical Research Institute, and several Indian Institutes of Technology, such as those in Bombay, Guwahati, and Madras, are providing support in areas like soil testing, concrete analysis, and design. Additionally, reports indicated that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has discovered a stream of the Sarayu River flowing beneath the temple. Tata Consulting Engineers has been appointed as the project management consultant.

Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, holds immense significance in Hinduism. The awaited Ram Mandir, a dream for centuries, faced obstacles due to the Babri Mosque clash until the 2019 Supreme Court judgment allocated land to the Ram Mandir Trust. Government funding and construction initiated shortly after, progressing steadily.

As of 2024, the Ayodhya Ram Mandir was inaugurated by PM Modi but the full construction hasn't yet completed and it will take time. The Vishva Hindu Parishad collected donations from citizens nationwide, ranging from Rs 10 to Lakhs, contributing to the impressive budget. With the completion date drawing near, devotees eagerly await the opportunity to witness Lord Rama at the heart of this sacred temple. The Ram Mandir is poised to stand as a marvel of architecture, marking a significant milestone in India and the world.
